Dogs and cats cool down very differently from us. Dogs mostly pant and sweat through their paw pads, cats are even less efficient at regulating heat, which is part of why they seek out cool floors and shaded spots on warm days.
Pressure-activated cooling mats use a gel that responds to weight and body heat, no freezing, no batteries, no plugging in. Lie down, the mat cools. Get up, it resets on its own within a few minutes.
